VOTE ART

 

Vote Art is an arts initiative inspired by the theme of democracy that aims to encourage people to take part in the democratic process.

In 2014 Bob & Roberta Smith and Matthew Couper were looking for a way to engage with the forthcoming general election, ensuring the arts had a voice in the debate.

We considered either standing in the 2015 election or making a new artwork, in the end we did both!

Vote Art has looked to have a presence at each major political event since 2015 providing an artistic response to the major political and social issues of the day.
